Nic Dyer
Nic Dyer examines a need for excess in the wake of restriction. Their sculptural paintings are a meditation on systems of visual & consumable hyper-palatability, each canvas lush with glitter, sweets, opulance. Dyer’s work is an exercise in having it all.
Dyer has had solo exhibitions in New York, New York; Baltimore, Maryland; and Seoul, South Korea. They received a BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art and have been awarded residences in Wassaic, New York; Johnson, Vermont; Fishers Island, New York; and Berlin, Germany. Dyer currently lives in Hudson Valley, NY.
