Marbie
Biography
Marbie is an artist and professional skateboarder from a small town in Iowa and is based in San Francisco, California. Marbie's work focuses on her time spent in solitude, using a unique collage style to express her intense feelings of yearning, depression, anxiety, confidence, and identity. The artist's work manifests in vivid colors, robust shapes and figures while reflecting on how time passes differently in the silence of solitude. Using cut-out circles to represent the moon, clocks or orbs, Marbie symbolically shows the passing of time with these shapes as well as a sense of yearning for discovery.
