'Friends & Family' - Group Exhibition

Hashimoto Contemporary is pleased to present Friends & Family, a group exhibition featuring new and recent works on paper by artists in our community.

Featuring 25 artists working in a range of media, Friends & Family highlights some of our favorite contemporary painters and illustrators. During these unprecedented times, the importance of our community has become even more prevalent. Bringing together this wide spectrum of artists reminds us of our bonds to one another from across cities and countries.

Each work on paper was created during shelter in place and serves as a meditation on our current moment. Creating work outside of normal routines - from the intimately sized abstract works of Kristin Texeira and Rachel Strum to the quiet scenes of summer by Celia Jacobs to the bold collages of David Heo - each artists' work reminds us of the importance of friends and family.

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, there will be no opening reception for the exhibition, and the gallery will be closed to the public. The exhibition will be on view through the gallery website. An Instagram live walk through of the show is scheduled for Saturday, May 9th at 2pm Pacific on the Hashimoto Contemporary Instagram.  For more information, additional images, or exclusive content, please email Dasha Matsuura at sf@hashimotocontemporary.com.
