“Largely informed by typography, my work often deconstructs letterforms with the intent to reconsider the relationship between message and viewer. I believe a message isn’t about reading, but about finding meaning. Through this approach, these works aim to flip that relationship, creating a space that encourages a viewer to more intentionally engage with a piece and its message as opposed to passively reading with the hope of creating a deeper connection to the work and the environment it lives in.” - Scott Albrecht

Scott Albrecht is a Brooklyn-based artist, perhaps best known for his cut, painted and assembled wood pieces. The artist also works in a variety of other mediums including steel, collage, pen & ink, sculpture and murals.
