Hashimoto Contemporary is pleased to announce our participation in Art Market San Francisco. The gallery has participated in the fair since 2014, and we are thrilled to return. We are showcasing local artists with a range of contemporary drawings, paintings, and sculptures.

Dennis Brown (aka Bagger43) is a mixed media artist, illustrator, and designer based in Francisco, CA. Although he's skilled in a wide variety of mediums - from drawing, painting, and collage to photography, laser cut, and screenprinting.

Jeff Canham is an artist, designer, sign painter, and woodworker based in San Francisco. With a BFA in graphic design and a very unofficial degree in hand lettering from New Bohemia, his colorful typographic compositions combine both new and old techniques.

Kim Cogan is an artist and professor based in San Francisco. Cogans paintings depict a vision of the city that is both lived-through and longed-for. The artist's  process is fluid and spontaneous. Definition emerges over layers of broad brushstrokes. Colors blend and transform over time, illuminating images into view.

Sean Newport is a San Francisco-based artist who has developed a range of artwork pieces from design to sculpture throughout his career. Working primarily as a woodworker, Newport has honed his skills as a carpenter to fine artist over the past decade.

Christopher Martin is a southern-raised multi-media artist from North Carolina, currently working in Oakland and San Francisco. Through his art, Martin tells the story of a young man coming from the South. Martin was prone to create hand cut and sewn banners with logo-like images to tell a story relevant to his own culture and history. With cotton representing the toil/labor of those captured in the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade, Martin hand-cuts and sews tapestry pieces that are representative of the modern-day experience of the African diaspora.

Joel Daniel Philips is an American artist whose work focuses on the tenets of classical draftsmanship employed in monumental formats. Inspired by the depth and breadth of human experience, he strives to tell the personal and societal histories etched in the world around him.

Emilio Villabla is a Mexican-American painter living in San Francisco. Born in Chula Vista and raised in Southern California, he grew up interested in drawing and art. He is focused on exploring painting figuratively, pulling inspiration from both old masters and contemporary artists— from Velázquez to Alice Neel and Basquiat.
