Hashimoto Contemporary 2025 Toy Drive!

We are very excited to announce that we will be hosting a Toy Drive this December! We invite our Hashimoto Contemporary community to give back to the communities we call home and donate toys to children in shelter's across New York City. Toys and gift cards can be dropped off during the opening reception of Seonna Hong's solo exhibition, "Cognitive Dissonance" on Saturday, December 13 from 6-8 pm.

The Coalition for the Homeless, is the nation’s oldest advocacy and direct service organization helping homeless individuals and families. Since  1981, the Coalition has developed and implemented humane, cost-effective solutions to New York’s homelessness crisis. The Coalition for the Homeless NYC holds an annual toy drive to provide new, unrwapped toys to children in city shelters during the holidays.

 

Toys must be unwrapped and only gently used, if used at all. Biggest need is girls, ages 8 through 12. 

 

Desired toys: Basketballs, Footballs, Kick-Balls, Soccer Balls, Tennis Racquets, tennis balls, and other sports equipment; new stuffed animals; Jewelry Making Kits, Markers, Crafts Kits, Paints; remote control cars; baby toys and baby supplies (wet-wipes, rattles, baby blankets).
