SAN FRANCISCO - Hashimoto Contemporary is pleased to present Petites Luxures’ third solo exhibition with the gallery. The exhibition will feature the Parisian artist’s signature minimalist erotic drawings alongside new paintings and sculptural works.
Each of Petites Luxures’ works explore sexuality and intimacy, imbued with a sense of playfulness and humor. Depicting pleasurable moments alone to saucy scenarios and fantasies submitted by his vast online following, the drawings and sculptures celebrate sensuality in its many facets. Utilizing cheeky wordplay in French and English paired with minimal illustrations, the viewer is asked to fill in the missing components and insinuated meanings.
In addition to his fluid ink drawings, the artist has expanded into new mediums while utilizing the same elegant sensibility. New landscape paintings with small scenes of erotic moments add a splash of color contrasting the black and white drawings and voyeuristic paper theatre sculptures.
