Introducing: Joel Daniel Phillips “Hazards May Be Present” Solo Exhibition

Hashimoto Contemporary is pleased to announce Joel Daniel Phillips solo booth at this years Art Market San Francisco, the Bay Area’s preeminent contemporary art fair.

“Hazards May Be Present” is a new body of larger than life-sized renderings exploring San Francisco’s Bayview-Hunters Point Neighborhood through the lens of three deeply rooted residents. These inhabitants’ particular piece of the Bayview is demarcated and defined by the Hunters Point Shipyard, a shuttered U.S. Navy Base closed due to extensive environmental contaminants. The drawings explore the complex history of materials and resources that have helped shape a unique corner of San Francisco.

Art Market San Francisco will return to the Fort Mason Festival Pavilion, April 27 – 30. Joel’s work will be exhibited in booth 409. For more info on fair dates and times, check out Art Market’s website.
